These condensed fact sheets provide information on the high priority invasive plants in our area, including their biology, legal status, habitat, current distribution, and management strategy in our region. For more information on our regional strategy, see our Regional Strategy. For general identification and control information, see Weeds to Watch For.
Category 1: New species not present in the CKIPC area. Early detection and rapid response is the main management focus.
Category 2: Species present in limited distribution in the CKIPC area. Eradication is the main management focus.
Category 3: Established infestations in some parts of the CKIPC area, but not present through most of the region. Control and containment are the main management focus.
Category 4: Established infestations throughout most of the CKIPC area. Containment, control, and/or monitoring are main management focuses.
