The Central Kootenay Invasive Plant Committee (CKIPC) formed by a group of residents and company/agency representatives who were interested in promoting a collaborative approach to invasive plant management. The group became a non-profit society in February, 2005.
The Committee includes representatives from non-profit societies, utility companies, government agencies, and local companies.
